Valuation and Forensic Team Adds Three

MINNEAPOLIS—June 17, 2010—LarsonAllen’s valuation and forensic practice has added Jennifer Miller as senior analyst and Eric Stephens and Randy Wolverton as contract-based staff members.

“These three will help grow our practice and provide additional knowledge and experience to our current clients nationwide,” says Debra Thompson, principal with LarsonAllen’s valuation and forensic team. “Jennifer has great experience in the financial sector working with mergers and acquisitions while Eric brings a wealth of database reconstruction information to our group. Randy will add depth on matters concerning white collar crime and interviewing skills. All of these experiences will contribute a great deal to our firm.”

Jennifer Miller has experience in forensic accounting, data management, fraud investigations, and financial statement reconstruction. She assisted with one of the largest financial institution mergers in history by preparing journal entries, gap analysis, and merger integration. Miller received her bachelor’s degree in accountancy and minor in fraud investigation from North Dakota State University.

Eric Stephens is experienced in reconstructing large national and multi-national company accounting systems. He has worked with various industries including retail, manufacturing, financial services, construction, and technology. Stephens is skilled in enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation, business analytics, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting. He also has experience with the generally accepted accounting principals (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), foreign currency accounting, and more. He received his bachelor of science in accounting from the University of Wyoming.

Randy Wolverton joins LarsonAllen after 28 years of experience with the FBI, working on white collar and organized crime cases. He also worked on health care cases, including physician groups. With the FBI, Wolverton spent time in various cities across the nation, most recently in Washington, DC working on financial crimes. In that role he was responsible for managing fraud in corporate, insurance, securities, and mass-marketing settings. He was also an instructor on white collar crime matters to FBI special agents. In roles unrelated to the FBI, Wolverton has worked with health care clients including physician groups. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and has recently been named a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Dispute Resolution Arbitrator.
