Claeys Stresses the Importance of Community Involvement in Radio Interview
No matter what you are doing with your professional or personal life, it is important to stay connected to your community.

Matthew Claeys
This is the lesson Matthew Claeys, a health care principal with LarsonAllen, has learned throughout his life. Claeys discussed his life and career at LarsonAllen for Executive Leaders Radio, a show that conducts informal interviews of prominent executives to learn what motivates them and how they became successful.
Claeys says keeping strong roots in his local area has helped him and his family through career and home transitions. “No matter where we’ve lived, we’ve always stayed very connected to the community.”
He grew up on a grain farm in rural Minnesota, and developed his interest in accounting when he was a teenager, after his father asked him to do taxes for the family farm. He studied accounting in college while continuing to work on the farm, and eventually moved to Minneapolis to further his career. He started his own accounting firm which focused on the health care community and later moved to Philadelphia. He now manages 110 staff in LarsonAllen’s office in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.
